Ingreso de turistas extranjeros a Costa Rica

De conformidad con los lineamientos establecidos por el Gobierno de Costa Rica y con vista en el comunicado emitido por el Ministerio de Turismo, los turistas vacunados mayores de edad y los turistas menores de edad, podrán ingresar al país sin póliza de viaje, siempre y cuando cumplan con los siguientes requisitos:

1. Contar con el esquema de vacunación completo
2. Contar con un comprobante que indique: nombre de la persona, fecha de cada dosis de la vacuna correspondiente, casa farmacéutica (Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca y Johnson & Johnson)
3. Completar el pase de salud https://salud.go.cr

**Para el caso de turistas estadounidenses se tendrá por válida la “Covid- 19 Vaccination Record Card” **

Los turistas no vacunados o con el esquema de vacunación incompleto (mayores de edad y menores de edad), podrán ingresar al país siempre y cuando cumplan los siguientes requisitos:

1. Completar el pase de salud https://salud.go.cr
2. Contar con un seguro de viaje que cubra al menos los gastos de alojamiento y gastos médicos generados por el COVID-19, ofrecido por alguna de las aseguradoras autorizadas en Costa Rica y debidamente avalado por dicha autoridad. O bien, puede presentar la documentación brindada por una aseguradora internacional que permita verificar que cuenta con un seguro que cubre lo indicado. Lo anterior deberá realizarse al completar el pase de salud.

Entry of tourists to Costa Rica

In accordance with the guideline established by the Government of Costa Rica and the official communication from the Tourist Ministry, vaccinated tourist of legal age and underage may enter the country without travel insurance, as long as the comply with the following requirements:

1. Have the complete vaccination schedule
2. Have proof that indicated the name of the person, date of each dose of the corresponding vaccine, pharmaceutical company Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca y Johnson & Johnson)
3. Complete de health pass at https://salud.go.cr

**In the case of U.S. tourists, the “Covid- 19 Vaccination Record Card” will be valid**

Tourists who are not vaccinated or with an incomplete vaccination schedule (of legal age and underage) may enter the country as long as the comply with the following requirements:

1. Complete de health pass at https://salud.go.cr
2. Have the travel insurance that covers at least the costs of accommodation and medical expenses generated by COVID-19, offered by one of the insurers authorized in Costa Rica and duly endorsed by that authority. Or the tourist can submit the documentation provided by and international insurer that allows to verify an insurance that covers the indicated. This must be filed at the health pass.
